    Yeah i had the same problem, there are plenty of better phpbb anti spam tools though, it replaces the CAPTCHA during sign up (amoungst many other things), if i find the one i used il let u no!

    I have added another layer of anti-bot tech and afer 12 hours….. NO MORE BOTS

    i have installed ravens anti-spam (ps raven is a fucking nutter – you should read his blog!!) – this works by creating a random string unique to each installation which has to be filled in on registration (done automatically if javascript is present) as the bots generally dont have javascript engines at their disposes they fall over at this point and cant register.

    fingers crossed it will last for longer than a few weeks and i wont have to delete 200 bots a month as i am at present.

    sounds good to me matey, never used raven before – but i had to go through the trouble of deleting tons of viagra posts on a teacher based forum, NOT GOOD! lol, but yeah, like you i found a much better anti spam tool, may have to check raven out tbh,
