    Very good book 😀

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time is a novel written by Mark Haddon that won the 2003 Whitbread Book of the Year and the 2004 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best First Book. Its title is a quotation of a remark made by the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s 1894 short story “Silver Blaze”.

The story is written in the first-person narrative of Christopher John Francis Boone, a 15-year-old boy living in Swindon, Wiltshire in 1998, who is described as having Asperger syndrome, although the behaviour he displays throughout the novel suggests a more severe condition on the autistic spectrum.

Yup – fantastic book. Amazing how he gets into the kids skull – it actually totally changed the way I look at Autistic/aspergers patients.

He has a new book out – anyone read it?

I did try to read this book, but really couldn’t get into it at all. I seem to remember there was something about the chapters that got on my tits for a start – are they numbered incorrectly or something? I remember I did try to read a bit more but felt I’d be better off reading Dick and Jane. So I stopped, thank God.
