Thanks to SOIA for putting the link out. been playing this tonight and it’s pretty intense. Some mad vehicles in there also. Get downloading you lot

ah whatever i think its on hereNot found any vehicles (although i did run around a coner and see a tripod thing sewing forth death, but never saw where it was based! It’s good fun on line as well, runs pretty well on my not so great machine, so that’s a bonus. Anyone bother getting a physics card yet?
It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but you can’t really knock UT. The engine’s always been good, never had any problems with the netcode and they always seem to manage to balance the weapons and vehicles just right.
My only problem with the demo is that when I went online all the servers were DM and that’s the only game mode I can’t get on with.
The War of the Worlds walker spawns on a platform in front of the tech factory, there’s a warning siren and a ship flies in to deliver it.

But I’ll give it a go, doubt i’ll be coming out of the closet for it though

I’ve been busy and I’ve only posted to get peeps opinions as I quite liked it because the pace was quite intense and you didnt get your little toe caught on a pebble like you do in bf2142 rendering you the most pathetic soldier in the world. I like the pace of UT and theres more than just lasers to choose from. UT is fantasy carnage. I guess its not for everyone but I’ve always enjoyed this game every now and againWhats this login bollocks all about?

I didnt have any problems there apart from it not letting me use the @ sign which didnt really matter as I dont want any crappy mail from them

Whilst I can sort of see this sentiment in gaming terms history has proved it’s not actually true.
Lazers are probably for girls (I play a friend of mine on UT4 occasionally and she always uses the shock rifle for some reason), but the shunters gun of choice on just about any game in which it features is the shotgun.
Gears of War – shotguns for the puddlejumpers.
CoD2 – Up for a felch? – shotgun for you.
SoF2 – Good with colours? Here’s your shotgun.
