ParticipantMother is insisting on buying me a new laptop, the more I insisted I didn’t want her to pay for it the more she insisted a get a really good one – I win 😆
Which of these 2 is best? The price includes a 3 year warranty, I’ve no luck with laptops so thought it prudent.

Participantnot a huge amount of difference bar the proccessors which are both 2 x 2ghz and the possibility that the intel one may have a better battery although would possibly weigh more because of it ( 9 cell as opposed to 6 for the other one)
now with regards to graphics cards both the nvidia and the ATI are reasonable for a lappy of that spec and again that is down to personal prefference. I used to be an ATI fanboy but over the past 2 years I’ve gone to Nvidia and had much less graphics issues than I had before. Nice spec on the hard drives as well as normally 160gig is the biggest going.
If push comes to shove and as much as I support AMD I would go with the 1st one in this case 😉December 11, 2007 at 1:48 pm #63245tess
ParticipantOh bum, I thought I’d got the 9 cell battery in both – so I’ll be changing that lol, they’ll both have 9 cell as I’m sick of crappy batteries.
I really don’t know much about computers, all I know is I want a fast red one, so I appreciate the input 🙂

Participant🙁 Does it not come in red? Shame, looks like I’m back to the Dell then 🙁

Participantmy prefence would be the first because of the battery and gfx, cpu – id imagine the intel would sap a bit more, but with the larger battery, it more than compensates,

Participant1st one, if you have to go for a Dell. 🙂
