    I have logged a call with Muktiplay to look at our box. In the meantime I will probably renew for a month and see how it goes.

    Please note that if we move to Rackage, we loose our Webhosting. As Mag has just moved the webby and forums, I am loath to make any changes until we are sure about

    1. Moving to Rackage
    2. Getting another Web Host

    Any thoughts, let me know

    The lag spikes are horrific on our server.

    Wipers did suggest it might be an issue with the “spectate mode”? Trouble is, were not pulling the numbers in, if our server is performing badly, this might be why?

    It was just a thought that the spectator mode when youre dead might be contributing to the lag. Maybe we could turn it off so you just get a static screen when you die. See if it makes any difference.

    I take it the TF2 server isnt suffering from any lag problems?

    gonzo to speak to phart about rackage server price and specs.

    I have admin access for it if needed.

    keep website at mpuk, u can do that by itself.

    TF2 is identical on our and rats servers performance wise. nothing in it at all except who as admin control 😛

    Question.. did the Proper Hardcore server lag for you? Reason i ask is that you can change more settings with it and disable stuff.. like this for voice coms..

    set voice_global “0”
    set voice_localEcho “0”
    set winvoice_mic_mute “1”

    Note the Voice quality is On for proper hardcore..

    you can also set minimum pingage..

    *Note.. Trying these settings with Newer server may cause it to De-Rank itself, so check forums before playing around…*

    TF2 server is lag free, but could it be affecting the cod server? Do the lag spikes occur when the TF2 server is empty?
