in the loop

as political satire is my bag, and Armando Iannuchi is a demi god in the pantheon of comedy, I have been looking forward to the film version of the excellent BBC satire “The thick of it” AKA “in the loop”.

Fucking Brilliant/10

Best film I have seen in years, the invextive is so astoundingly brilliant that I have to stop myself from going on Tucker-esque tirades in my classes.

However, it is not perfect, James Gandolfini played a character that didn’t quite fit right with him, probably because I am too used to him as Tony Soprano, and the role could have been better played by someone else. But minor gripes aside, a MUST see for any satire fans out there. It also contains a prophetic line about putting porno on the expenses of an MP, Iannuchi is a legend!
