Does anyone here do it? Thinking of upgrading to a 4k setup and just wondered if it was really worth it.
i dont so i cant really add much. however, i have been looking at possible future upgrades and a good few people are preferring ultra widescreen for games over 4k

It’s playing games at high resolution. Typical HD screens are 1920×1080 pixels, or HD as it’s called.
The “next big thing” in gaming appears to be 4k, or 3840×2160 pixels.
Games apparently looking fucking sweet, but it’s a bit of an investment to play at that level. I think if I sell my existing screens and graphics cards, I could upgrade to 4k for about £400 which isn’t too bad. But I don’t know if it’s worth that much money, just looking for someone with experience with it.
Honestly, I don’t think its worth it yet. Some of the newer games are using more then 4GB of vram at 4K which is a big problem for the current gen cards as only the titan and some special edition AMD cards have more then 4GB. You’ll also need 2 of them if you want a decent framerate.
Its also hit and miss if a game will actually work well at 4K. Most will let you use that res but a lot of games wont scale the UI so it ends up being so small its unreadable.
