Ok, I watched, and the first bit wasn’t too horrific. The performing animals and the mad ones were tragic, I would love to be able to do something about their plight, they are very obviously unhappy.
Although it may seem offensive, if these tigers are to be returned to the wild, they need to be encouraged to behave as wild animals. Captive breeding programs are all very well intentioned, but there are very few animals in zoos which would be capable of survival in the wild. Animals ideally suited for zoos do not, on the whole, have characteristics which will benefit them or the offspring in the wild – zoos, regardless of what they claim, do domesticate animals. At least these boyos would be able to feed themselves. And they seem much happier than the tigers I have encountered in safari parks and zoos.
