I hope to god they put it back to ww2, No more UAVS, SCANS and fecking ARTY! back to the old school ways of hunting down your opponents on the map, Also anybody else wonder why snipers come up on UAVS and Scans? They really got a chance to hide considering they always get arty placed on their head……. FH and BF42 Forever!

UGH! Luddite! Can you imagine BF2 without UAV and arty? Its bad enough as it is with some maps almost a third of the team seem to play as sniper. 🙁 If they knew they couldnt be seen you might as well call it ‘Sniperfield 2’ 👿
cause they keep making it easier to kill people with a sniper rifle, plus with all the claymores a sniper can lay down. In a WWII setting you would be able to sneak up and knife em instead of running into claymores all the time. Plus the sniper rifles weren’t so good then
You’ll play it and wont even worry about the weapons.
After all bet you all played quake or hl (tfc etc) not exactly based on realism, but hours and hours of fun 😉

Ever seen Saving Private Ryan……….that was some class WW2 sniper action going on there
yeah but compared with modern day snipers. You can lay down about a mile away and still shoot people
same here, with BF2 I get at times a CSS feeling people laying down as sniper at all chocking points cause it’s so easy with WW2 snipers you have to do a little more trouble

The only spacey type games I have ever played were

Ray guns dont do it for me!
Um don’t think you’ll find ray guns in it.
It’s more like highly mechanised warfare, think of the marines in Aliens/Starship Troopers and that’s more what I get the feeling it’ll be like.
I’ll play it for a few weeks start a few threads about how cool it is, get some other folks to go buy the game then put it on the shelf and forget about it.
In my mind, god forbid you ever go there, the only reason this is being pushed out is to corner the market on Quake Wars Enemy territory, which, if you want spaceage battles on earth will offer you far more than the BF franchise could… but hey, some coonts will buy Quake get their panties in a knot about how supreme it is, then go and buy BF2794 thinking it will be cool too, they’ll also notice BF2 on the shelf right next to BF2794 and most likely suck their moms titty tiull they get both under the tree.If you want some WW2 type schizzle, check out the Airshow WW1 fighter plane mod on offer from totalBF2.com (via the BF1918 team) looks spiffing old bean tally ho and chocks me goat and all that fan-arh.
if I’m getting any future warfare game it will be quake wars ET. Dice and EA have left me down with BF2 on regards of patches (takes them ages) and the number of official maps. And I don’t mean the “pay us for a few new weapons and maps” packs for which you have to restart the server to play but real new maps to put in there in bf2 vanilla
