Ooo I see.. I could have sworn I did that.. maybe they were the stoppy things for the Washing Machine/DishWasher :/ Blue and Red stoppy things.. or am I looking for summink totally different

those blue red things are the water supply for you washin machine/dishwasher stopcock is a big brass tap either in the cupboard itself or underneath the plinth/kicker boards which you should be able to just pull out as they are only clipped in.
oo ooo i thnk i remember a tap under the sink, hopefully it was mine and not someone elses!!

Why have you lot got him pissing about with his mains water, as he’s wrote it it’s when his heating is on, what your telling him is to cure water hammer( and then that’s just a quick fix and isn’t addressing the problem).
Just get some one in ’cause you’ll probably make it worse and cost yourself even more money, ’cause a lot is going to depend on what style of heating system you have(e.g. C plan, Y plan or S plan, as they all work a little differently) and if it bangs on hot water or just on heating.
Not something you can help with on an internet forum, so don’t mess I see it all the time at work when people have messed around, made it worse then they phone us, and being British Gas we ain’t the cheapest. 🙂

I have to say I was wondering about the whole water malarky and as DIY site says, do that if your tap bangs.. but as you said.. tiz me boiler.. still.. appreciate all the help and advice and I wouldnt have a clue none the less

i went for an interview with British Gas last year….didn’t get the job as i fecked up the interview……….probably a good thing really 😆
