These things have been out ages, it’s beyond me why they’re still so expensive.
because apple set the price range and everyone wants to make a profit. remember when a recordable CD was almost £20? and it wasnt even re-recordable!
with regards to headphones Insane has a point about sennheiser. Deffinatly the best headphones on the marketMarch 9, 2007 at 10:33 am #47779TurksMeisterParticipantHmmm they are advertising the X20 and I dont think it is even out in this country yet!
Do you think it would be dodgy getting it from here?
Cheaper than what they are costing in this county, but would the display be in crazy chinese?
March 9, 2007 at 11:16 am #47780AnonymousParticipantMmm does anyo of the stuff you have in your home that says ‘Made in China’ not have an english menu?
Hehe it probably will be in english and if not they are quite often multilingual, so you’ll just have to find the menu to change it to english if it is not in english already. Failing that, could always just learn enough chinese to browse the menu’s, save a couple of quid and claim to be cultured 😛

Only downside is that software (which you can live with) and the fact that you need a cable to plug it into your USB port.

Depends which market it is sold too doesnt it – smarty pants! If it is sold in HongKong, it could be either Chinese or English.
I was also wondering about scams etc… Ive heard that people sell memory chips from HongKong that have different regulations than they do here, so that your 256mb card is actully much less… Does anyone know anything about that? whether it is true or not etc?
How much did you get if for Mr Space?
March 9, 2007 at 2:09 pm #47783XDC Erratic-SpaceParticipantI’ve seen that about the mem cards.
Hmm recently got a 2gb Sony pro duo one (the tiny one whichever that is) for my digi cam.
Cost me £24 from HK and seems fine so far, seems to be the full size.Mp3 player was £130. 4gig space. I’ve seen it about a little cheaper. SOny need to release something that will go on a keyring with the USB and mp3 player connection on it. Before this I had a Creative Muvo which was brilliant if a little bland. Looked at Ipods for a long time but not a great fan of ITunes…err says the man who’s just had to install Sonicstage! Quality of build is top-notch. Also, this has the best sound quality of many mp3 players I’ve tried out.
March 9, 2007 at 2:57 pm #47784TurksMeisterParticipantSony software is shit… had a nightmare with it on my camcorder.
Gayness
