Sure, what is banning him from the forum gonna do?…….he’s got an ounce of common sense, if he wanted too, he’d be back with a new account in seconds, and theres not much we can do about it, but surely it’s the fucking principle of the thing. Guess the best thing is ask him why he chose you in particular but no doubt he’s tried mine too but found i’m a bit more au fait with online security and had decided not to use my name or summat as a password…………remember kids, letters and numbers for passwords not your first name or favourite team. 😉

Seriously WET, what type of justification is “I was just bored” as an excuse for violating someone’s privacy? The admission does not make it all OK, he still invaded someone’s privacy. As far as I am concerned there is very little lower in this semi anonymous internet world, it’s just a version of attempting to bully someone, and quite frankly he should know better. I’m not calling for a ban because that would be more devisive than anything ewlse, but someone needs to tell him exactly what XDC as a whole thinks about what he did and why that’s just not acceptable.
If someone does ban him, I won’t complain though 😀

Seriously… he was bang out of order in this (and a few other things) recently. I admit I am a bit of a wishy washy liberal type regarding crime and punishment and believe in rehabilitation and education rather than the rule of the mob.
I think if Insane seriously thinks Legit should be kicked from the forum over this however its his right to make the decision…..
but he should speak to Legit for 5 mins on TS to sort things out first… and then tell him himself if he is to be kicked.

I dont think anyone is contesting that what he did was wrong… there is a line and he has crossed it.
I would certainly be most pissed off if someone hacked in to my email account – they might try and claim my free penis enlarger pills… that would fuck me right off!
Gotta agree with Insane on this, If it happened to me I wouldn’t not be pleased at all.
But would a ban from the forum drive him away for good or make him come back worse than before like the Scream sequels

Legit is waaaay out of line. At least when I hacked Insane’s account I had the decency to only delete a couple of emails and keep the incident to myself. BTW Insane; that bloke called Pet_Shop_Boy on your friends list said he’d got a bad rash and itching and reckons you should see a doctor quickly.
But doing it for a ‘bit of a laugh’ isn’t reason enough. If I came home and a friend of mine had let himself into my house by nicking a spare set of keys ‘for a laugh’ he’d certainly not go up in my estimations.
Actually, I’ve just seen that Legit is advertising HAMACHi Log-Me-In or something for LAN gaming over the net. Sounds like PC anywhere to me, so that you can log onto a remote PC from your own, they just need the client running on them.
Do you really want the guy who hacked Insane’s account to have the ability to hack into your own PC? Just think about what you’re doing.

I’d be pissed off too, i would also acknowledge that my attempt at securing myself from online interference wasn’t up to scratch and for that i’d guess i’d be glad at least it was someone i’d got to know a bit on here rather than someone with serious or malicious intent…..(i know i can’t prove it wasn’t malicious but i’m going on what i’ve spoken to him about)
From what he said today, i’m pretty sure he mentioned that he didn’t read any emails but i’d guess you would have to have it out with him over TS as doc said……….I’m really not trying to piss peeps off here, i understand fully that what he has done is wrong, i’ve tried to apporach him and find out the whys and wherefores so that i can at least get answers from him for you! Something that it seems no one else wants to do! I guess trying to sort it out and help a little is not my forte so i shall now sit back and let the fireworks begin 😉 ………oh and if i seem a bit grumpy, ignore me, i’ve had 4 hours sleep in the last 48 hours and have been working my nuts off!!! 😕
