I loved Granada so much – I went to a spanish school there for 2 weeks a couple of years ago.
If you like snowboarding you could do worse than go up the sierra nevada mountains when the season starts – not too bad at all when theres powder!
July 24, 2006 at 8:16 pm #27691sebgrosParticipantyeah, I was told that about snow as well,I m not against the idea but if I m still here in winter, then my life will be very much different from what I m thinking at the moment…hummm, why not tho……???!!!
anyway , did a bit of windsurf today… but I m new to it and I quite suck so far…
August 15, 2006 at 8:22 am #27692sebgrosParticipanthello……………
after a short appearance on the server this week end (I did suck bad after a month away from the keyboard ) and last night (was better especially on karky!!!) I m packing and leaving for York…
please keep your daughters and sisters hidden if you got any near yorkshire 8)
I ll try to give news from there…
August 15, 2006 at 8:37 am #27693sickofitallParticipantYork. Here’s my advice for anyone visiting York:
Don’t get drunk and tell the locals that all their pubs are crap and that York is a “shit night outâ€ÂÂÂ. They get a bit uppity for some reason.
Don’t get drunk and mock their historic town by pointing out that a big wall isn’t all that great. Phrases like “it’s only a fucking wall, what’s all the fuss about?†tend to rankle with the locals.
Don’t take the piss out of them for getting flooded every 5 minutes. They can get a bit touchy about this. How pissed off they get seems to be inversely proportionate to how funny you think their tales of woe actually are.
There’s a shop in York that sells a beer called “The Black Beer From Hellâ€ÂÂÂ. This is a plus point for York, since drinking any beer with such a great name obviously makes you nails and gives you extra beer armour.

Is that a list of things you shouldn’t do, or a list of things you’ve done?

It wasn’t me, it was the missus.
You’ll find that when you’re drunk it’s quite easy for you to wake up in the morning and think you’ve acted like a right c**t when if you think hard enough you’ll be able to blame it all on the other arf.
Thinking about it I’ve probably been to every major town and city in the country during the past 15 years and never actually managed to stay sober in any of them. Not sure if that’s actually a good or bad thing.

Well having been to most of the towns and cities of this country, they are for the most part, shite holes.
And been drunk is very understandable 😆August 16, 2006 at 11:29 pm #27699XDCsPUNKerParticipantLast time I went to York was because I fell asleep on someones Tour bus in Wolverhampton 😯
Trains eeeeeek . They are like the Little Chef.. should rename them to Little thief 😉August 17, 2006 at 7:22 am #27700XDCNeonSamuraiParticipant@sickofitall wrote:

Tell me about it.
My G/F and I went to a rather posh party full of liberal types who write books and work in the media. Everything was going swimmingly until Nathalie got bored by the conversations about Che Guevara and decided to drink a whole bottle of bourbon in a pint glass with ice-cubes in it. The hilarity turned to terror when she became severley disorientatated and began throwing up so much that some good samaritan had to drive us home early, much to my embarrassment.
Anyway, next day apparently it was ME not her that had done that and some of her friends even sent photographic ‘proof’ that I had been a drunken arse. Photographs that could have easily been modified in any number of computer packages I hasten to add.
However I still stand by my belief that it was her and not myself who was pissed, even though I can’t remember much about the evening. Except trying to hide in a cupboard.
August 31, 2006 at 1:44 pm #27701sebgrosParticipantuhu,
I managed to get drunk in almost all the pubs I visited in York too!!! tho I did not puke anywhere.
anyway, I had a great time here. I think i putt on weight a bit with food (obviously not the 1 from yorkshire 🙄 ) and the guiness.the city is nice and the fortnight seemed only like a week to me. the fact is also that i fell in love a fair number of times and the birds here are really more what I need than the ones in andalusia… tastes and colors…. I tried a bit of “local specialities” onthat subject and was comforted in that feeling 😉
that country is really dangerous for me , I know I can live and work there, find some decent m8 and birds and there is a pub at every street corners.
stop it now , dont tempt me more or I ll have to move there 😕
