Participantwe are finding that american tv series are about the only thing worth watching on tv

ParticipantDrive is baiscally an ilegal race around america, and the contenders are forced in to it – one dudes wife has been kidnapped, another needs some pills or something to keep him alive etc…
thats what I have seen of it so far… seems quite good – its on Potuk if you are a member…

The trouble with UK TV is that if we try to copy the US style then we fall flat on our faces. When we try to be origional then we get it right. Spaced and Life on Mars spring to mind.
But when we try to do stuff like the British X Files (Torchwood) or British Jurrassic Park (Primeval) then we fall short. And don’t get me started on teh amount of shite reality TV we make. My advice to British TV companies is this:
Give me 5 million quid and I’ll make you a decent show.

Participantjust getting started on this heroes thing jolly engaging. apart from some twunty type characters including some emo that wants to save the world and a nutjob bird who looks like she’s dry stuck her top lip to her gums and a cute cheerleader who has to be the most accident prone girl in the world oh and not to mention the jedi mind tricker who is pretty but cant help me from feeling like im looking at a midgets head. Hiro’s a great comic releif but hey! im only on season one episode 11 at the moment so give me time 😉

ParticipantHmmm – I wasnt too impressed with Heroes TBH – ill still watch the 2nd series… but the p[lot is pretty lame methinks.
There is another series called 4400 which is slightly more engaging and deals with peeps developing superpowers too.

ParticipantI watched the first season of 4400 and really enjoyed it, but couldn’t get into the second season of it.
Downloaded the first 3 episodes of Drive, went to watch it and the harddrive where all my tv stuff on has decided to die a horrid death. so not to pleased there.
will download it and try again.
