I’m not going to bother for the sake of a fucking graphical icon, I’ve been a 70 for a bit and would prefer to stay at that till BFBC comes
Sadly i give in and got a ps3.
(who can blame me gt5 is out in march :D)
So i got mw2 on the ps3, tbh the whole auto aim crap is a little lame, its made cod more of a frag fest like the old fps online games. But having said that the more i play it the more i am enjoying it. Its just a stopgap for me until march when bc2 and gt5 is out. Ill be playing both a lots.Yes sadly i am still playing wow also 😳
got my first nuke the other day on the tail of a 40+ kill streak but due to useing a heli gunner and harrier from a perviouse life it diddnt count. 2 harriers, 2 heli gunners 1 nuke in one life. boh

Just had a thought about this game, I’m glad I got it because of the games I’ve had with some guys from work, but the dedicated server thing and the whole overloading the game with achievements, just kicks in the balls any desire I have to get into it. I’ll still come back to it from time to time, but if anyone is still thinking about getting the game (unlikely) at this stage, just wait until it drops significantly in price…or just get BFBC2 which looks like it’s going to be a similiar style of game, just better.

Still playing Borderlands (SP) am halfway through the 2nd playthrough……love it!!

Agree with Stella. didn’t bother with the DLC stuff but I picked up Borderlands for 15 quid on the PC and gave it a playthrough. For a game which didn’t get much fanfare it was easily one of the best games of last year.
If you can get it on the cheap on PC then definitley give it a go.
If you see it on the consoles you’ll probably want to avoid it though. As I said before FPS on a console=like wanking with a headache.

I think because it was something a bit different…….. i.e. not a ‘war time’ fps. a lot was made of the 87 bazillion weapons in the game but most of em are junk TBH but its pretty cool when you drop on the odd cracker! I played as the Hunter so concentrated on sniper rifles n pistols, couldnt get on with the shotties n rocket launchers!
Also the way it looked, i thought, was good. Kinda cell shaded… but not (probably a better way of puttin it but i dont know!) and the humour in the game was great!
I think ppl called Borderlands a Role Playing Shooter, similar to Fallout 3 but its not as ‘FFS! do i HAVE to listen to all these people blabbing on? I just wanna go shoot someone with me new cool gun!’ as FO3.It can get a bit samey samey and there seems to be too much ammo dotted about (dont think i ever ran out), but it kept me away from MW2, so it was doin summat right!
Not to everyones tastes but far and away the best game ive played for years.Oh, and Cage the Elephants ‘aint no rest for the wicked’ is the ‘theme toon’! which is nice! 8) 8)
