Enjoyed the games last night…can’t actually remember anything but I do remember laughing too damn hard. I woke this afternoon with the mofo of all hangovers 🙁
that night was funny……..i could barely focus on the roger melly i was laughing that hard !
the ringers are in full flow now……me and spacey are workin well as a pair of strikers….admittedly we should both have scored more goals than we have managed to bag so far……but the wins are coming fairly steadily now
hornet danny is the defensive foundation the wins are built upon……we look a much better team when he takes control of the back four and midfield (no offence to anyone) and you are always in with a shout it seems…….as we proved the other night goin 2-0 down and then coming back to win 3-2 !!!
damn that shit is satisfying !!!

Yeah gotta agree with Sprog, next to BF2 on the PC this game’s giving me endless hours of entertainment (when playing with The Ringers). S’funny actually just how ‘flat’ the game seems when not playing as part of the club, I mean still fun but no where near!
Insane/Lammie – You guys coming back to make a few starting line-ups? Would be good to see you both back on.

Off point, was speaking with sprog the other day about challenges I’ve completed which haven’t saved. I also have one challenge it says I’ve 2/2 on but hasn’t given me it? What I now do before turning the game off is to save my profile. Just an idea if you are having similar probs?

Firstly, I gotta hold my hands up as I choked up a possible 5 game unbeaten streak. I need to go away and get the praccy in before I go any again for The Ringers. I just can’t seem to get to grips when playing for you guys compared to with a bunch of randoms. Go figure?
But! The news of the day has to be around the 4 games we stormed today! Dodgy Dale, Sprogy, and myself played the beautiful game like a trio of masters! It got off to a fantastic start with our free kick specialist (Dale) banging in one in the first game. We all stepped up to the plate scoring some blinding goals, coming back from 3-1 down, 2-0 down…dunno about you guys but I felt we were unbeatable no matter how many goals we went down by!
Signed up a few more people on a trial basis. Obviously it’s a team effort so if we feel newbies that we sign up don’t fit in then that’s all good too and we’ll have to end the trial. Though the two newest don’t seem too bad. Will be directing them this way too to get involved in the forum banter.
Right! I’m off to watch my team play, come on Vikings!
Some stand out moments in yesterdays ringers action….this game gets better and better the more you play it, the more your man gets his stats up, the better his finishing becomes….we absolutely romped it yesterday….9 wins taken yesterday…..some peaches of goals….goddam i love this ringers action….and i urge more xdc’ers to put the hours in to get their doods stats up.
when you crash in a 90th minute volley to win the game……you wont be regretting it !!
Tips on getting players stats up without having to go through SP matches (or management as I aint keen on that style) please 🙂

you can do an exhibition match against doncaster rovers or some other lower league outfit…..set it too 20 mins….and keep checking in your accomplishments (pause menu) to see what ones you need to do to finish it
on a 20 minute game you can rack them up quite quickly….for the defensive accomps set the difficulty to world class so you will have lots of tackles to make…..for the shooting ones set it too semi pro in order to give you a chance to get the goals you need to do.
in truth there is no substitute for perservering with it….putting in the hours….unless of course you take the route i went down which was too boost your mans stats by buying them with microsoft points from EA ??
one added tip i can give you is that with the ‘be a pro’ matches you do get the option to play with all of the players rather than just the your lone dude up front…..before each game you get that option by pressing down the right thumb stick…..hanndy if you need to get 8 headed passes to a teamate in a game…..and some of the other trickier accomps.
if i remember correctly last time i looked you were about 40% complete on your accomps….so thats not too bad at all…..but the game really kicks into its own once you get too 80% complete….thats when you start to be able to muscle off defenders,sprint past them, and shoot on target everytime…..thats when this game really starts to pay off
we scored some fuckin peaches yesterday….and its hard to describe the elation you feel coming back from 3-1 down to whoop some racist crew called ‘BNP ROVERS’ or some other such drivel 5-3 at full time.
blindin stuff….the more you play….the more reward ya get ! come join in the fun m8….we got some duffers….you are a better player than some of them we already have playin.
the other best way of course to get the stats up is to come play with the ringers…..you will accumulate the accomps on the way….plus your havin a giggle at the same time

Fark me, paying for stats? thats new to me and as sad as that sounds, I might just see what thats all about.. Its near on impossible to get alot of these accomps, 8 headers, is that vollying or letting it bounce? if volley I’ve never headed to another team mate since playing! About paying, isnt it a temporary thing to help, like you only get it for 2 games or something? a bit like the unlocks codes you get with the game?
another thing, this playing donny rovers exibition mode, I thought you had to play “be a pro mode” to get a them, and use you’re BAP ingame? I assume as a defender, you have to change you’re possition to defender, or does using the whole team go towards you’re BAP? When I ctrl the whole team, my BAP is never in the right spot for my crosses n all.. which is annoying when trying to head a goal! *shakes fist*
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, when playing in that lower div, fark me it was annoying, more shouting and swearing than I do in MW2! It was like watching Chelsea live, every farking ball I took off the oppo ricoched to the oppo no matter what, stuffy bastards, I’ve never seen that in the Premiership games or la liga, but fuck me the ctrl nearly went through the wall
The 8 headers one is simple….go as left back….and play chipped passes with your centre back out to him on the left….simply head back to him….hey presto 1 headed pass to a teamate done !!
you can buy midfield maestro and goal machine for 360 credits….this will last for 20 games, be aware it uses one up everytime you enter a game….so dont waste them on 3 minute games.
any stats or accomps you do in any game are attributed to your player….whether it be exhibition, online, it dont matter…..if you pull it off….it sticks and contributes valuable attributes to your player.
another great nights playing last night….i must have banged in about 15 goals last night….including 5 in 1 game….goin in from all angles.
the ringers also showed a more ruthless streak last night…..’fucking off’ someone who we had signed the previous day who had an annoying habit of doin a match commentary during the game….a group decision was made….. FUCK IM OFF !!!
so we did….spacey did the honours……but we did keep his mate who he bought along with him….he is now our star striker in fact…..we gave him the option told him we were fuckin off his m8…..it didnt take him too long too decide he wanted to still be a part of the ringers.
and who can blame him…..we are marching on now….wins are flowing,as is the passing !!

Loving the challenge amongst ourselves which is serving to grab us some vital results. Those 90th minute Sprog game clinchers were the toast of the evening. Our any player mistros were setting up the play well. Determined to step up as the 3rd choice if only I can put in more consistant performances.
I think it’s initially harder the more people play on one team but once u get to grips with how people play you really do see the advantage of having extra people who’ve got the improved BAPs.
