Saj and me have been having some fun roaming about the north recently (Geminate, Vale, and the Kalevala Expanse) and we were wondering whether anyone else would like to join in with us? I’m setup using a pilgrim at the moment for scouting and general sneakiness, as well as being our main damage dealer, while Saj is a fast tackler, flying an indestructable vengance 🙂 We had a great fight last week when we thought we just had a ratting drake to kill, but 3 ravens, a scorp, and blackbird turned up to help him. I don’t know what was going through their minds because we managed to take out the drake and one of the ravens before their jamming kicked in and we decided they’d had enough 😉 We’ve done this a couple of nights now, and while we don’t always get action just like that, it definitely makes for a nice change away from the epic fights in Delve atm. The more we explore the more hot spots we find as well, and last night we announced our arrival in a new area by taking down a Golem who’d decided ratting on a gate was a good idea 😆
We were thinking that these trips would be a good opportunity to show some of the newer players in game what pvp is like, or at least what small gang hunting is like, so I just wanted to throw an invite out there for anyone and everyone who fancies joining in. If you can fly a tech 2 ship, great, but if not all you need is something fast and mobile that can at least fit a warp disruptor. The better damage you can do the better our gang will be, and the more we’ll be able to take on, but keep in mind that speed is our primary concern as we don’t want to be getting ourselves stuck, and we’re likely to get chased the odd time when we piss off the locals 🙂 We want to be noob friendly though as well, and you can still be useful in a small frigate if that’s all you can manage.
If you’re up for it, jump into the channel JSD Bar, where most of us here hang out, and any questions about ships/fittings either post here or ask us in game. The only thing that may be of a concern is if you only have a main character, and your corp or alliance has too many people napped (I’m thinking this will probably affect Max most), but if this is the case we can find a workaround. The invite is open to everyone, including non-xdc, and while I hope to be involved most of the time, Saj has asked me to add that he’s up for doing this even when I’m not about, so feel free to ask him about it as well.

The idea of a corp has cropped up on these forums and in chat a few times in the past, but for me it’s always conflicted with something ongoing in game. Saj and me were talking about it as well on our last outing, and I said I just wouldn’t have the time for it considering the war in Delve. That said, I’ve always kept Sal as a part time character who would be useful for this sort of thing, and if you were to resurrect JSD Wiz, I could make her available.
I couldn’t move Al though, I’m just learning too much atm in Bob 🙂
having spoken to wizzy it wouldnt be something we would be doing in the immediate future. killing goons and getting back delve will be done first. also we would need to sort out things such as where to base, funding, and the basic infrastructure.
however we will be setting up a corp at some point as both myself and wizzy have got to the point where the top of the game, large alliance type stuff doesnt hold the appeal it once did. so going back to small gang, no standings fun is what we are aiming at.
as for staying in bob with Alzir thats cool and you wont find a better place to learn anything than there, but you will be more than welcome to join with sal as will anyone else for that matter.
like i said, it wont be happening soon as there is too much fun to be had in delve killing goons.
