Personally I reckon that the whole X Factor, Pop Idol, Dance Idol, Dancing on Ice, Any Dream Will Do, You’re the one that I want genre is shit, and just an excuse to watch people make fools of themselves and then get insulted by some experts.
My idea for a show was that you secretly film people in mental institutions when they’re acting up, and then have a panel of judges tell them why they’re mental and not going to amount to anything.
Doesn’t sound much different does it? But wait.
Prior to being told how worthless they are the patients will be given their medication, however, they will be asked to choose their own, rather than having it prescribed. This means that they might just take some asprin, tranquilizers, rohypnol or possibly Kamikaze 9 (the banned military combat drug), with hilarious consequences!
Personally I’d love to see Simon Cowell get his throat torn out by a rabid schizophrenic on killer amphetamines mumbling “Quantas Don’t Crash. Water burn baby.”
