i managed to get a few games out of 2142 earler today with no problems at all, just went onto our server and got the following message after about 5 minutes of being in there (hoping someone else would join).
the game seemed ok, then it began to chug along at 1 frame every 3 or 4 seconds then it just ctd and fired up this message.
BF2142 Memory error.
memory.dll: all aloc attempts failed for size 8886502
cancel – try again – continue
i don’t think its anything to do with our server directly but wondered if anyone else has had a similar message pop up after the game has locked up on them ?
/wanders back to BF1942 to silky smooth gameplay and no ctd’s 👿
yep same error here for me, last night in fact, I found disturbingly that this happens mostly on the XDC server although that is the one I mostly play on so it’s probably unfair to say it’s multiplay, I get it once say every few days so I don’t really bother trying to fix it considering every other game I play doesn’t have any problems at all so I just accept it as a BF2142 problem along with all the other hassles it creates.
