I can see it now, one door in, heavily protected by SHADOWSNIPERL33T, Dragonslayer5678, PredatorKiller, millions of high velocity bullets and nades spilling out of one small opening, your teammates lay on the floor like chickens or the dead slags that they are. outside a mech furiously fires lightening bolts at the door you just entered, and you desperatly spam the comms chat “requesting backup requesting backup requesting backup”

Here’s a link to a report from Bit TECH who are claiming that it’s just a new set of skins, and nothing much else really. There’s no denying that the game looks good and very polished, it’s just a bit too Buck Rogers for the Battlefield series IMHO.
Reminds me of a mix betweens mechwarrior and total annihilation – good games
They’re two of my gaming favourites!
But I’d still rather them stick to real world stuff for the Battlefield series, rather than branching out into sci fi. If I wanted that kind of gameplay I’d be thinking about getting Quake Wars instead.
Sure I hard somewhere that they’re making a new total annihilation. Will have to investigate a bit.

just read the bit-tech summary and to be honest that is pretty much what i’m expecting from BF2142, i know its not going to have any major overhaul on the engine and lets be honest for any substantial change to a game your looking at a far longer development time so i guess its a case of just taking it for what it is………. 😀
