January 28, 2010 at 3:09 pm #73146LammieParticipant~Well just had a quick round on the MP demo playing the Rush gamemode and all I can say is OMFG!!! Insane you are gonna love this game.
Controls and gameplay pretty much same as previous title however the thing you notice straighaway is the diffence the latest version of the frostbite engine makes to the graphics, simply stunning. Destructable terrain etc was good on the laste one and even better on this one. Most of the weapons are locked on the Demo which you would expect but in the 5 or 10 mins I played this for I have to say I’m really impressed so far….. Now all that left to do is for DICE to screw the final build when it ships to the stores and we have a ‘proper Battlefield’ game on our hands 😆

January 29, 2010 at 7:59 am #73148XDCiNSANEParticipantCrikey it is a fine game, going to take a while to get used to Ctrls after playing MW2 past few months, but yeah superb game!
Squads work too! 🙂
One thing that annoys me, the rumble issue when bombs drop, which appears to be happening too much for me, I get someone in line, rumble, scopes all over place, I adjust and I’m dead 🙁
Remove that, get me used to ctrl and boom.. GOTY! 🙂
January 29, 2010 at 11:19 am #73149To0THBRU5HParticipantI like the rumble thing, it applies to the person you are aiming at too – fair competetion.
They are doing maintenance on it today so you can connect but after a few minutes you disconnect 😥
January 30, 2010 at 7:33 pm #73150XDCErratic-SpaceParticipantHmm need to give it a chance but the xbox version doesn’t feel right to me, I mean not BF. Could be a PC purchase after all around April?
February 1, 2010 at 7:36 pm #73151XDCMunkeeParticipantwtf is up with the no prone?
February 1, 2010 at 11:28 pm #73152To0THBRU5HParticipantWorks good without it. Stops alot of camping, no dolphin diving, and the gameplay is way more aggressive 😀
February 2, 2010 at 7:47 am #73153XDCiNSANEParticipantAgree.. did you miss BFBC1 then Munkee?

Makes seeking cover from tanks a bit more difficult surely? I guess if it’s a tweak to balance/help the overall gameplay though, then I can live without it 🙂

I actully agree with the Manc Mincer for once 😆 the no prone makes playing sniper a little more tactical in terms of where you take up your position. You do need to find proper cover instead of laying behind a single blade of grass and being almost invisible to the enemy unless they accidentally trip over you, or step one of the gazillion claymores you have layed across a 10 mine radius just incase someone happens to see where your shooting from. 😉
You also have to keep moving from your position to keep the enemy guessing, due to ; 1) The kill cam gives you a brief look at your killer and general locale, this will become easier for the victim and harder for the sniper over time as people get more and more familiar with the maps and known sniper spots. 2) Due to the destructable terrain and objects, its no use trying to continually hide behind a wall, crate or other object for too long to protect you from incoming fire as sooner or later your cover will be destroyed by either grenades, RPG’s, Tanks or the UAV so you have no option to keep moving and keep the enemy guessing.
Haven’t played for a few days but plan to get back into it again today or tomorrow. Overall still enjoying the demo although the single map can become a bit monotonous sometimes but still looking forward to full release, more maps and several game modes .
February 11, 2010 at 12:07 pm #73156XDCErratic-SpaceParticipantStill need to give the game a fair chance. How many of you are getting it for the Xbox then?
February 11, 2010 at 1:38 pm #73157XDCiNSANEParticipantMe
