And no, it’s not a sequel to ‘Junior’.
The year is 2027 and no babies have been born for 18 years. England is in turmoil, with terrorist attacks and mass immigrant deportation and a hapless man called Dylan gets captured by some freedom fighters who need his help…
Bloody brilliant film, mainly because of all the matter-of-fact action scenes and clever editing.
8.5/10

September 24, 2006 at 2:21 pm #34336Beer_MonsterParticipantyeah, i saw a long trailer on film4 recently promo’ing this movie, and it’s the first film in years i’ve actually comtemplated going along to the cinema to see instead of getting it thru “alternative” means.
looks great.

It’s good, but pay attention. There are one or two scenes that last about 10 minutes on one take, no camera changes. Normally directors do it with ’emmotional’ scenes, but here it’s used for action sequences. The one at the end with Dylan running down the street underfire is amazing. It’s like you’re right next to him.
November 25, 2006 at 4:28 pm #34338four-aces deluxeParticipantJust got back from watching this at the cinema – well worth watching this on the big screen. The action scenes mentioned are awesome with proper surround sound so unless you have a home system, try to catch it at the cinema.
It has an almost all British cast, is set entirely in England, and has a thought provoking storyline.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and despite the grim storyline it even made me a little homesick.November 25, 2006 at 8:22 pm #34339AnonymousParticipantThe trailer looks nice, but the website says it’s not due for release in cinemas untill Crhistmas Day?
November 26, 2006 at 12:46 am #34340airmessyParticipantI just dled it.. Will watch it tomorrow
November 26, 2006 at 2:01 pm #34341four-aces deluxeParticipantI just watched it in Japan. It can’t be the case that they released it over here before they do in England, can it?
November 26, 2006 at 3:47 pm #34342AnonymousParticipantMaybe it is -_-
But then maybe it aint….
I just checked on Odeon and the earliest showing at my local Cinema is on the 29th of November @ 10:50am (senior screening)..
They can’t get their own advertising wrong, surley?
