Other than size of disk, is there any difference between the model above, and this?

(other than price, ofcourse… and, indeed, colour!)

Turks I have had this PVR for about 18 months. Thoroughly recommend it. It is excellent – changes the way you watch telly. It is possible to record 2 channels at once and be watching a third at the same time. I’ve never come anywhere near to filling it up. Problem is finding time to watch the stuff you’ve recorded. I’ve got films on it I recorded over a year ago.

Cool beans – have you hooked it up to your pc? If so, how easy is it to do – does it work like an extre HD?

    Hi Turks

If you havnt already bought one you can get a better model direct from Humax.

    http://www.humaxdirect.com/

    320gb and series link feature.

I’ve had the 8000T for about a year and have connected to it with a PC over USB and to be honest its not very good, transfers keep dropping and then you have to convert the video as it records the ts stream, maybe they sorted that though coz they did get some stick for it.

320gb is a bit above my budget – found the 160gb for £159 on John Lewis… using the code TEL258CCT200 gets £20 off 🙂
