k i’ve been trying to download the poe2 mod as well as ultima online and the 1.4 patch but my browser (firefox) keeps dropping them time after time, can anyone recommend a decent download manager that will allow me to resume interuppted downloads?

I use reget but I have used all of em.
If you know the filename have a look at
for some ftp links (once you have your DL manager)

I use it all the time – You normally get faster tranfers with ftp. I use it for access cross platform and also when http is disabled etc etc.
When using flashget with something like filemirrors I select a number of ftp sites to download the same file which give a much faster download
