Anyone currently playing this? Im on my second day with the trial and im slowly plowing through it, still waiting to be grabbed by the bollox though. Am i right in thinking this is a WoW in space time sink?
EVE rocks mate, especially now they have introduced Faction Warfare, its a game you need patience in, but once you start getting your skills together, its very good. PVP ftw!

Well im starting to get into it now, its deffinetly got a steep initial learning curve and im sure ive barley scratched the surface but im deffinetly starting to like it. Missed you last night max i was out doing kill the pirates and capture the spy type level 1 missions.
I ballsed up last night, id saved up for a new ship and thought id treat myself to an amarr frigate costing 250.000.000, unfortunatly as im a Caladari i didnt have the skill, lost 100 grand on that lol. Should be trained up and ready to buy a Kestrel tonight, i’ll be glad to get rid of the Bantum.
One question concerning the map, is there another way to get out of map view other than ‘reset camera’? thats what i do and sometimes it dosnt work. Ive had to log out and back in a few times now because of it. *Edit* seems fine now though
Im skilled up to fly the kestrel, use the rocket launchers but not the missles themselves it seems, doh (*edit*, just figured out you can buy skills, 16 grand and 45 mins, sorted). I’ll be plodding about in my bantum a tad longer it seems, at my level are small missles better than small rail guns ( i have 2 125mm on the bantum,) hadnt realised the Kestral was missle only. Im going to keep it unless the missles are crap.
Ohh nearly got baited i think last night, a couple of people had left cargo floating about named things like ‘free stuff’ and ‘for noobs’. i parked up next to it and thought about helping myself then realised the owner was not far away pointing directly at me. So i made a cup of tea of-course.
Came back to find him knudgeing me away, so i approched cargo again, he took it back and left. Yeah feck orf ya cnut. 🙂In the early stages missiles will probably do more damage than guns due to the supporting skills being less training, don’t have to worry about tracking etc..
If you have’nt done already get EveMon installed (http://evemon.battleclinic.com/) and plan your skills. You can link it to the api to keep it all up to date.
Whats your char ingame? I can wing you a little cash to help you get started if you want.
Yeah i found it much easier to kill with the missles late last night, so much so that i got cocky and took on a small armarda of pirates, i didnt quite warp away in time and got podded. Hey ho lesson learned, keep an eye on all pirates close and FAR 😉

Sent you some isk just now, hopefully enough to help out. Sounds silly but I didnt want too give too much as I find its better to learn the value of it early on. Might make sense one day.

Can you tell me more about the faction warefare. As i have been on quite a long break from eve since Ronin fell apart and from what I have heard. it sounds like it might be a lot of fun. i.e more chance of fights and more often.
i.e a lot closer to log in find a person and shoot them, rather than log in, wait 3 hours for everyone to get organised then possibly encounter some enemies to shoot?

Faction Warfare was brought in to bring more of us in to PVP, can get very expensive though but had a blast, until the corp Im in, moved to low sec.
playing with the heavy hitters now Max. we expect perfection….. as for me, i have perfected the art of losing ships!
although i should really log in some time.
