Well I was watching the FanFest vids and got really into EVE again lol.
So signed back up to have some fun 🙂 game runs way more smoother now than a year ago. saw my last payment was October 2007!
So I think after a years break it cant hurt to have a little look around!
Drove straight thru a gate camp as well lol in my big fat ass Abaddon. they forgot to bubble it mind so got thru 🙂

I read you’ll be able to get out of your ship and walk round in space stations int future (just walk no fighting).. still shit though!

i couldnt agree more. for me the ambulation project is a total waste of time as i really couldnt give a fuck about walking round a station or sitting in a bar.
The secwars mini game does look adictive though!
Being able to shoot ppl in stations would be great and I do think being able to get out of the ship and and a part missing from eve that others had before.
But the whole thing about a noob killing a very high level character in a station would be equally gay! as frigate vs titan would be total opposite so I can see why guns are not allowed yet. However they must be able to think up a way to do this in the future and this is the very beginning.
I am quite interested in the next expansion cominng in March which will finally allow a custom ship design like we had in earth and beyond 🙂
i think that it will be very popular in the main hub systems like Jita where there are a large number of people who only sit and watch and trade and that will be a nice distraction for them rather than just sitting in their ship in the hangar but other than that i dont see it being a very big deal to anyone else outside of those professions. i cannot see why any other profession will want to be sat for any length of time in a station when they could be out making money and still talking to their friends.
having played the game for 5 years i see no reason to add it. the reason being is that the whole game is about being in a ship not sitting in a station. the only way that i will get involved with it other than to simply check it out will be if they make some sort of incentive to do it. there will be very little that i can do in a station that i cant do sitting in my ship doing what ever.
time will tell as to what happens so we will have to wait and see.
tech 3 looks very interesting, i will be interested as to how the the component system will work but i will be keeping my eye on it over the next few months or so.

I am mate but with moving to scotland and losing the power supply on my pc (which has only just been fixed) I’ve not been about much over the last couple of months. I think I’m finally sorted now though, and assuming I can fix the problem I’m having connecting to the wireless router in my new flat (which keeps disconnecting me every 10 seconds – any ideas?), then i should be back online tonight. I’m trying to save a bit of money up now as well so you should be seeing a lot of me over the next few months.
As for eve updates, the walking in stations thing’s a waste of time, but they might have actually made an improvement recently with the module stacking thing. I’ve not had a chance to play the game yet since this was introduced but I’ve heard it’s made a significant difference to the lag you get in massive fights, which I hope is true because eve’s been doing my tits in recently with the lag, and me losing practically all my isk to it 🙁
Fun night this was! went on my first op with my new corp PH of AXE.
We got some nice domi kills and various other ships.
but we then tried to take on a 60 man blob camp with our 20 man gang of inties, dictors and recons!
we lost 10 ships including my lovely T1 frig lol. but didnt have any lag. I love the weapon grouping, guns are in synce, easier to manage and less buttons to click!
Oh and to top the night off I managed this which was funny. Bare in mind I was sat outside the station in my rookie ship!

i havent played since the update in any real amount but it does sound tempting with the fact that everyone is saying the fleet lag has been reduced greatly. although i still wont fly a bs with Hippo as i get primaried way too fast and with no lag it just means that i will be sitting in a pod even faster 🙂
well im am thouroughly hooked into this game i believe but dang it takes up time,
ty to silver and alzir for helping me through tis transition, im with hippo i seem to get blown out of the sky alot but now that i know the optim range for weaps its alot easier to stay back and destruy them with rockets lol,see you all tonight i hope
yeah should be a bit easier for you Jar being Caldari and using rockets and missiles as all you have to make sure is your within the range of them and it will hit.
Being Amarr myself (best looking ships in the game :P) we use turrets which dont need ammo, but you need many skills to get them working well.
yeah the game does take time and you do lose ships, but its all part of the game.

A good way of taking out the npc’s is kiteing, that is run in the opposite direction and as they are heading into your fire you should see a damage increase, you advancing away from their fire reduces damge to you….well thats the thoery and seemed to work for me. Give me a shout if you ever want to fleet up for a mission near Urlen.Myself i’m glad to get jump clones (finally) so i can go anywhere again without worrying about the 50mil implants i have. I got podkilled within 1hr of 0.0 ratting but laughed it off. Got to love the outer ring 🙂
