Microfinance site which allows you to invest in African business, undercutting the extortionate interest rates of local loansharks (up to 40%), and getting (if you want) a very competitive (albeit risky) rate yourself (I think Im averaging 8%).
Basically borrower chooses a sum, and rate they are willing to pay, and joe public bids on it, under cutting each other etc – sort of like on ebay… at the end of the bidding, the borrower gets the money at the lowest exchange rate bidded – on average 11ish%
Just chucked 30Euros in… very addictive stuff!

Seemed too good to be true to me at the time, but how come it’s now that you’ve resurrected the thread? Is it only now that you’ve found out the results of your initial investment?
