Well I’ve joined – what now???
Edit: can’t find any fookin instructions – help! (have had a few stellas) 😳
well I got my team with The Times. Not going too well after the opening day, I got Crouch, who didn’t feature, and Joe Cole who’s injured. Oh, and Fabregas, who only got rated a ‘5’ by the Times… that gets me no points…ffs. 😕
Well after week 1 I’m third. I’m quite pleased at this since my fantasy self couldn’t make it to my fantasy ground to watch my fantasy team due to me and my fantasy P.A. Xenia Seeburg getting caught up in doing some late night “accounting” on the Friday night. Plus I’m now rolling in it in a proper Terry Venables kind of way having only spent 86 of my allocated 100 money on players and having plenty spare to buy fantasy booze with.
By the way Neon your fantasy team has a few problems. One of which is your 2-4-4 formation of course which leaves you terribly exposed to wing play and being hit on the break. More of a concern though is your frankly mental choice of the cyclops from Krull as your goalie. His complete lack of depth perception and him being crushed to death doesn’t really do him any favours when sticking him in the nets.

And for the record SOIA, my team choice is spot on. The cyclops from Krull might not have the ability to judge distances, but he can see into the future. Admittedly the aspect of the future that he can see is his own death, but as I said to him “Rell, if you let in any goals I’ll kill you.” This means he constantly knows which way to dive.
As to my exposed wing play: I’ve got the dragon from Dragonslayer! If anyone knows about wings it’s her! My second choice for players on the wing was going to be any woman from the Bodyform ads, but I’d run out of points by then.
