Damn. I lost it on the server last night, so sorry about my ‘fruity’ language.
Signal and myself had been on a couple of servers before we went to XDC and had been laughing about how inept some of the players were, but they made the ones on my team last night look stupid. And I mean REALLY stupid.
Towards the end I was thinking about forming my own coalition and declaring war on both the PAC and Euro Forces, just so I could start killing my own team.
Started off when there were 6 of us on the server, 3 on one side 3 on the other and I’m commanding. I run across the map and set up shop near the first flag, whilst Fluffy goes off to grab some more. Our other ‘team’ mate decides he’s a sniper so he’s going to camp our flag and wait for somone to turn up that he can shoot. So do the next two players who join our ‘team’. Leaving Fluffy as the only guy capping flags. Then a walker turns up and rapes the crap out of the flag and our 3 snipers learn that they can’t take our armour with rifles. Zero team play and no following orders. So I thought “sod this. I’ll just go fight next round.” Big mistake.
Jebus. We didn’t need an opposition, we could have lost the battle by ourselves. Twice I was trying to cap a flag in a vehicle when someone would leap into the drivers seat and and drive away, whilst the flag still belonged to the enemy. Once, when I was in the Walker shooting at aircraft, some guy gets in, drives it away from the flag to shoot at a sniper (!?!?!?!!!) a tank and a gunship attack us from behind whilst I’m spotting them (Enemy Tank! Enemy Gunship! Enemy Tank! Enemy Gunship!) he ignores them to keep firing at the sniper, and bails out just before the thing blows up, with me inside. A walker taken out by a tank and a gunship?!?! WTF??? Then somebody tries camping our uncap in an APC and one of our team manages to get in a tank. Phew! Now we’ll teach that spawn raper a thing or two. Guess again, because Mr ‘Team Player’ decides to just bugger off in the tank and leave the rapist to carry on killing. Plus no-one in our team had mastered the art of landing a transport jet, preferring to eject after shouting ‘get out!’ once. Then there were the people who thought I was throwing ‘golden hand grenades’ and decides they could make a fortune by running after them. People abandoning walkers at enemy flags so that they could lay down some claymores (Mr jhorror) and those ‘tards who seem oblivious to requests for healing or ammo.
GAAAAAH!!! Normally it’s what people in the other team are doing what pisses me off, in this case it was what my own team were or weren’t doing. Bah!
I think I might just give up on this bloody 2142 and take up knitting, or maybe Red Orchestra!

I started playing this game being mister mild and relaxed telling people not to call people tard/retards/noobs but after 6 months of playing this game is seriously affecting my home-life, so all I can say to the people who play this not giving any regard for anyone else is….”I hope your bollocks drop off” right thats that. I love this game but sometimes I fucking hate it.Oi.. Dont diss what you cant play!

some quality games last nite with dazz, gra, morg, beer, doc and kroy….dont worry about it neon, i reguarly abuse my teamates….try to get them to play as a team nicely..but after 30 times of ‘sapper blow the north railyard’ whichs locks down another cap point, its turne into ‘ffs you cock blow the fucking wall’… have been known to tk the sapper blow the wall and save the day.
the RO server is run pretty strictly, repeated tk=ban…being a cock=ban….we aint very liberal and we never will be.we do take time to show new guys the ropes and on many occasions have some terrific teamwork.
when not playing but admining my message is always ‘F*ckwits and Fools will be banned’
we have a full server most nites with plenty of regs…our server, our rules 😆

You make it sound as if I’ve got PBSD (Post Battlefield Stress Disorder), which I probably have! I reckon Signal and myself are a bit too much alike. Calm courteous people in RL and berserk, swearing maniacs when we play the Battlefield games!
If I was a single man, I reckon I’d be dividing my time between 2142 and RO, since I do like the idea behind the later. Spending a whole evening online in a WW2 environment would be a fine thing. But I’m married so I have to divide the time between 2142 and the wife.
I’d play RO n0m, but I reckon it needs too much concentration and patience than I can spare. Especially when my lady wants ‘qualitytime’.
Its been a while since I have had ‘quality time’ with anyone… and I have to say, i miss it somewhat… If you want me to free up some RO time for you, just give me a call!
Perhaps we could make it a regular thing when I am in Berko!
