Ok, i’ve bought the game, installed it but now can’t play multiplayer!! it keeps telling me that i’m using an older client (must be from when i was doing a bit of testing) but i’ve installed the patch about 3 times now and still no joy!
What do i need to do to ensure the test copy is completely uninstalled ? i guess thats my only option to uninstall any versions of 2142 i have on the pc but am unsure about the registry side of things…..
Also, i can’t seem to be able to select 1280×1024 as a video option, again is this to do with the older verison i have installed ?
installed 1.01 patch 3 times..could even be 4 but it still doesn’t like it!!!
batch file sounds cool…………..errr, what is it and how do i use it ??

Copy and paste the text into a bat file.
1: Copy text into notepad
2: save file as .txt and then rename to .batIf you have any probs I can zip the file up and email it once I get home from work

I had some problems with that too… I just deleted the install files and reinstalled, and it worked fine.
