I’ve recently (FIANLLY) achieved top rank in COD4, tooke me long enough.. so decided to pickup tf2 again, also the ‘baby’ is now a 6 month old giant who goes to sleep fairly easily at 7pm and dosent mind the sound of gunfire! also the wife has taken up netball again (having mended her broken finger).. so all that means im free to play a game once in a while..
Ive seen a couple of peeps on tf2 servers recently.. so.. nice to be back and to see yall again..
So.. is there anything i can do to make myself a more successful tf2 player? other than play more?
is there a nice little guide to it?also.. I probably wont be on TS (or current equiv) much, primarily due to baby sleep and needing new a headset.

look on this forum I think Alzir posted some videos with regards to some TF2 strats 😉
PS welcome back 🙂ahh yes.. i remember seeing that when i first got tf2.. have just watched the scout vid.. will attampt to put it into practice tonight.

If I get a moment tomorrow I’ll figure out how to sticky a thread in here for that how to play tf2 one, though obviously you’ve found it already. Might be worth a few of us adding to it a bit with some of our own tips, but we’ll see who can be arsed 😉
If you’re up for a game I was thinking of carrying on what we’ve done that last few Sundays and getting a game going some time in the afternoon/evening. I’d say it’ll be 7 or 8 this week since Chelski are taking on the scum, but whatever time it’s at, we’re normally in TS for it so feel free dropping by 🙂
Only on bad maps for scouts, on any capture point map you will rule, if the heavy hasnt got a medic you can take him!

I may not be able to make it tonight, computer got a virus and it’s looking atm like a reformat is the only option 🙁
did a format and re-install this w/e.. steam starts, tfs says starting / verifying install etc.. but then dosent start..!?! im sure it ran earlier?

Does that still happen when you restart steam? Also when you formatted, how did you backup the tf2 files, or did you download it again from scratch?
ermmmmmmmm.
well.. i installed on a different disk.. so i still have the original available. I didnt consider just copying the game files over, so i downloaded tf2 and hl2-ep one again!! i did think to backup my cod4 and hl2 saves tho!
Just mentioned it because that happened me recently after a reformat and I’d copied the files over. Is it still happening even after restarting steam?

yeah it happened again last night.. i couldnt get onto tf2 at all.. just said verifying etc.. then went away. i tried hl2 and that loaded fine. so i played cod4 instead.
