Well.. I played a bit of the SP last night.. and all started off well.. looked good and the first levels were exciting due to being a new game I guess, i was shooting everyone in the head and they died, which you’d expect, then it all went up the swanny.. the AI for your team mates is dog shit, they sit around watching many an enemy run around shooting you, they drive off in your vehicles if you get out to have a mooch. The AI is ok, they flank and mostly run away if you shoot them, never shot so many people in the back before in a game.
Now onto the weapons.. there ok and accurate in SP, but can be shit too.. like the noob choob, sometimes it wouldnt work in the most “I need this to fucking work” scenarios.. oh and what really peaves me more than anything these days, is games that DONT allow you to use the forward button as a double tap run.. what a fucking pain up the arse, you’d think every game would have this these days, esspecially with the ammount of keys you have to use, one seperate key for a grenade again.. how ghey! .. oh and it also looks like keys only in air vehicles, I couldnt configure my J/Stick at all for it… unless I missed something.
Now then, I cant help think they made this for MP only, I think they should have, I reckon most of the fun will be online, If I can get on with a TBYB version I’ll give it a go, I’m not buying this before I play it online as its so not worth buying for the SP.. which begs the question.. why do game makers bother with SP which is clearly shit when the real game is online with your mates.. makes no sense, they should put more effort into creating a game which is sexual online, than fannying around with code for SP etc etc.. waste of time!
anyhoos.. yeah.. you should really TBYB this game.. cant help think it will end up in the .. ARMA section.. Hope I’m wrong as you’d think nothinig could be worse than that online!
p.s. I do like the lil robot drones.. appart from that its pretty much a rebadged BF2142.. with more accurate assault rifle, which I like

Have had major dramas getting this to work on either of my machines and after much patching and arsing about with this pile of crap i managed to get it running on my Laptop with Vista. When i say i got it running i got it running once but doubt it will work next time i try it, if i ever do. As a SP Game it Sucks Ass to an Olympic Standard!!! Do not buy it!!! As a single player game ive had better games on the Spectrum 48K. The guys in your squad are the AI eqivilant of the spotty mongs that even McDonalds would tell to jog on.
As a MP game it may be ok but as Insane has already said this is just a cheap copy of 2142 and for being a new game is years behind its time.Utter Rubbish 👿

Am still TBYB’in at the min… hhmmmm it just feels ‘not finished’ somehow..or rushed, i do like the drones tho! ..but agree with lame AI comments. It feels like its tryin to be COD + Bf2142.. but failin left, right and centre. Played the sniper mission and compared to COD4s one… well theres no comparision!!!It SHOULD be good but its just not!!!!!

I guess this just goes to show what commercial pressures do.
I will have to give this a try, but how would you compare it to the Desert Combat mod that they previously made? Better or Worse?
