Dead straightforward problem which I imagine will be easy to solve for those who are good with PC’s.

I have a primary drive on which I’ve got my Windows installed (Windows 7) and a seconday drive which is partitioned for everything else.

I have a Creative program for my mp3 player to install but at no point during the install process will it allow me to choose where/which partition to install it. It just sticks itself straight onto the primary drive which I’m wanting to use exclusively for windows.

Is there some kind of command prompt or something I can run to force it to stick itself on the partition I actually want to place it on?

How bizzare… and very daft if I do say so, theres absolutly nothing in which to select a custom install whatsoever? how queer..

    Whats the program called?

if you are feeling brave you can change the default install path for windows.

Thats were you went wrong m8.

Creative drivers are without doubt the worst pieces of shit I have ever come across. More problems than any all other hardware issues put together in my experience.

I know you are kind of stuck with them for gaming x-fi stuff… but fuck it – i am never buying another creative product again.

Sorry…. not much use to you I know 🙂

    Fancy a game of L4D? 😀

Cheers Magicker – sounded like a good idea but it didn’t work. Must be Creative being shite as Doc says.

It was the Creative Console or something I was trying to download but luckily I plugged the player in to my PC and Windows 7 decided it knew what it was and made it work.

Which was nice. Can’t do anything fancy but at least I can charge it up and move files onto it now.

Worth mentioning that I’ve been quite impressed with Windows 7 if anyone is thinking about getting it.

I keep meaning to get onto L4D Doc, but I’m on Mass Effect 2 and Call of Pripyat as well. Plus my mate has given me Bayonetta on Xbox to play through (not great – very overrated).
