ParticipantToday i bought a new keyboard, nothing fancy and it cost me a fiver but there’s a niggle. It has 3 shortcut keys that are in a very bad position for my CODing, they are…
WWW Search EMail and they are directly above my arrow keys, right where i used to have Del End and Page Down binded to grenades/ use ect. So now when i try to throw a grenade it alt tabs out to Outlook .So i’m looking to disable whatever macro these keys are bound to but im not sure how, no software was supplied, XP just wanted access to it’s own cd and driver install was done and dusted. I didn’t find anything useful in Start/ Settings/ Control Panel/ Keyboard
The KB is a PC Line PCL-SK1
Any ideas?ps, whilst typing i went to hit Del and was met by another instance of Firefox, this could become tireing, why can’t i get a bog standard qwerty without all the gumpf end rant

ParticipantMate theres a few free keyboard assignment progs out there – they just change your registry to allow the binding of your keys to whatever you want. I would find the one I used for you… but I am on dial up and cant be arsed… I seem to remember getting it from CNET though.
Good luck!

ParticipantAye.. and it that fails and you dont require said buttons, just remove them by means of a screwdriver if it looks possible.. I’ve done it a few times, esspecially with windows button.. looking at the pics it doesnt look an easy task so I’d be inclined to try Docs majig
and as he’s on dialup, allow me.. i think these could be what he means..

This is the advanced one which you have to purchase, but am sure there would be a crack out there somewhere.. just dont tell Doc 🙂
