Does anyone know a decent, free piece of converting software for turning MPEG or AVI movies into WMV format? I’m trying to track some down so that I can watch films on my Nokia E61, but everywhere I look it’s shareware.

Anyone use or know something suitable?

Cheers Magicker. But now I wonder why people would pay for a WMV converter?

And for some reason Microsoft don’t do a Linux version? 😉

I´m using Firefox with the DownloadHelper-Plugin and another one called UnPlug. So I can get almost every streaming media (in the most cases *.flv) on my harddisk. Haven´t tried it with Realmedia-Streams, but if you give me a link to a movie ressource, I can try.

I use total recorder for realplayer streams. It works great and naturally you can edit stuff out/in etc. I think I found it 🙄 on Oink if I recall correctly.
