ParticipantOn the map screen, you can dbl-click to add a marker, and label it with descriptive text. There’re a lot of different markers you can supposedly select but I can’t do it.
If you hover the cursor over a marker, you can press Delete to wipe it. You are supposed to be able to also use arrow keys or shifted arrow keys to change the marker icon but this doesn’t work for me.
I’d appreciate it if someone could check it out and tell me what the bind is for the keys that change the marker icon.
Pretty please 🙂

ParticipantDouble-click on map to start creating a marker.
Use UP/DOWN arrows to change the icon.
Use LEFTSHIFT+UP/DOWN (or was it LEFTSHIFT+LEFT/RIGHT????) to change colour.
Type a label.
Press Enter.Hover over and press DELETE to remove at any time.

ParticipantAh, it wasn’t as good as the Planetside map where you could actually draw on it to show your squad battle plans. A feature I used to regularly use when running squads to show everyone my subtle wit by drawing a massive nob on the map, much to everyone’s amusement (except for those that called me names and left of course).

ParticipantI did that when me and doc were planning clan matches on ’42. It was hilarious, but for some reason doc didn’t seem to appreciate it much 😕

Participanthehe nob-shaped plans are the best. 😆
Nothing to stop us having a nob icon in ArmA. Loads of servers have custom icons.

LOL to true.
Dont take it personal Vic – I just thought your drawings were shit. Leccy drew a great octopus on one of our battle of the bulge maps I seem to remember… much more artistic.
