My beautiful Logitech MX700 is about to pop its clogs (cannot how charge regaurless of new batteries)… I dont think you can get this model any more – can anyone suggest a good logitech replacement? Pref wireless with charging dock… narrows it down a bit aye!
January 14, 2010 at 12:57 am #75283AlzirKeymasterTrying to think what kind of accent produces “regaurless” as a written word. You really should join us on TS.
January 14, 2010 at 8:00 am #75284XDCiNSANEParticipantSounds like an Irish accent if you say it fast
I like the Razer Deathadder.. tiz very comfortable in the hand
January 14, 2010 at 8:38 am #75285xdc magickerParticipantHi there,
i have the mx700 too .. great mouse. mine also refused to charge after about 3 years of ownership.. not bag going for a bit of tech. i just have a recharger near by and swap out with a pair of recharables.
haveing said that it now sits on the second computer as i have just been gifted a beautiful rocat mouse… which is awesome

January 14, 2010 at 1:53 pm #75287TurksMeisterParticipant£62!!! Not sure my MX700 was that much.
Will get myself a head set and back on TS sometime.
January 15, 2010 at 10:29 am #7528811thSignalParticipantI use a Razer Lachsesis, hated the fecking at first real awkward to get used to but now I love it ..
January 15, 2010 at 11:14 am #75289AlzirKeymasterheh when I first read this thread I genuinely was just running through all the accents in my head which could have resulted in you spelling regardless that way…I wasn’t trying to be Paddy, I was just slightly drunk at the time 🙂
Back on topic, the razor deathadder was a very worthwhile investment I made a couple of years ago, which surprised me, as I didn’t understand the benefits of having a fancy mouse. I’ve never trusted wirless technology enough to go for a wireless mouse though, but whether there’s any logic in that I don’t know.
January 15, 2010 at 11:54 am #75290TurksMeisterParticipantHad a wireless mouse for a bout 5 years, and loved it
Might just go down the battery recharger route… hmmm…
January 15, 2010 at 3:19 pm #75291XDC-snellParticipantI had a MX700 as well good mouse, 4-5 years seem to be life span.
Replaced it with a MX laser, very happy with.
Here’s the latest version at £29 !!!
January 15, 2010 at 3:42 pm #75292airmessyParticipantI had the same about 12 months ago. trusty old mx would not charge anymore and then the 2nd mouse was as if it was on rapid fire so i bit the bullet and got a refurbished mx revolution.
Has sooooo many buttons its great. The only problem i have had with it (seems everyone is having it that’s why there are so many refurbished for sale everywhere) is the rubber ring around the scroll wheel stretches, All you have to do it cut it off, slice a few mill off and glue it back on and you never have any more hassle off it at all.
January 18, 2013 at 2:33 pm #75293TurksMeisterParticipantSo two years later, having gone the constant recharging route as Magicker suggested, it is now time for a new mouse! (This thing must be 8 years old now!)
What are your suggestions re wireless mice? Anyone using the Logitech G700?
January 20, 2013 at 3:59 pm #75294TurksMeisterParticipantEcho
January 20, 2013 at 11:12 pm #75295xdc the docParticipantCan’t help you m8 – I use a wireless mouse but they dont make it anymore (sidewinder x8)
Just saw this ninja mouse if you have cash to burn though!
January 20, 2013 at 11:48 pm #75296TurksMeisterParticipantUmm – I reckon if I was to buy that I would instantly be single!
