After reading some AV forums thread i found out that the soon to be redundant Telewest/NTL and rebranded Virgin Media have brought out a new package that was “soft” launched (not advertised) on Friday. I’m not sure how many Telewest/NTL subscribers we have in here, but the deal goes as follows:
Talk Unlimited (24 hour calling)
Talk International (cheap international calls)
Talk Mobile (Cheap mobile calls)
Broadband Size: XL (10Mb)
TV Size: XL (Family/Supreme Pack)
All Sky Sports (1,2,3,Extra)/Movies (1-9/10)
V+ HD Box (TV Drive)
Second standard STB
for £85 a month.
Personally i’m saving around £50 a month and getting 10Mb BB (up from 4Mb), sky movies, sky sports, the talk packages and a 2nd set top box.
Telewest/NTL have always had a poor reputation in the past with it’s customers, but i’ve always been free of the problems reported and never had a TV outage and always got my full 4Mb download, now with the virgin name behind it, i’m hoping things will go from strength to strength. Theres also rumours abound that on Virgin Media launch day the broadband speeds are going to be up’d to max 20Mb download, but i’m not sure where they are getting that info from.
