Hi guys just having a blast with the free trial of EVE with an eye to carry on, anybody got any pro tips etc etc to stop me making noob mistakes!!!

I’d say deffinetly do the tutorial however frustraing it is and then the first real string of 10 missions will give you free stuff, a better ship and implants etc.
Ohh and if in doubt right click! Want to know what a module does..right click, you want to go to a jump gate….right click, you want to target Alzir? right c….well actually dont, you wont last long if you do that.
Stay out of any system with security status 0.4 or lower for now, if you try you’ll get a popup telling you the dangers. In 0.5 or above you are safer….but not imune.
What’s your ingame name? im sure someone can add you to the channel most here frequent.
Hi Signal, tough game to start out with, and gets much better when your skills improve. 0.0 space is great fun, but you needa good alliance.
If your going to stay in the game, “EVE University” is a good corp to join and will teach you the basics of the game.
first thing, welcome to the wonderful wrold of eve!
secondly, when you are in game join channel “jsd bar” to join a channel on the left hand side there are the icons, select the one which has pictures of two people, a bit like the msn icon. this opens up a new window, in that new window select join channel and in the text box just type jsd bar.
as for information, that thread that was linked is a good place to start. as max said a good starting player corp is eve university and you will learn more with them than you will in a npc corp.
once you are in jsd bar just ask any questions in there and someone will be able to help, and dont worry about asking silly question as after almost 6 years of playing i ask silly questions about parts of the game that i have little experience with.
