guys i need some info here………….
I’m currently using bit-torrents but am finding its painfully slow to download anything; an example being i’m trying to download pinnacle studio plus 10 but at 7Kb/s its taking a frigging age!! its been going approx 48 hours and i’ve managed to grab 56.7%!
Are these newgroups any better ? are you more sure of what your getting; the full retail version as opposed to a 30 day demo?? I remember insane telling me summat about them a while back but never really took it any further. Do they work the same way as bit torrent but with better speed ?
Any info and pointers is much appreciated!

WET, are you sure you have opened the required port on your router?
If not you will get down to those speeds, if you open up (usually port tcp 6881) you will get lightning speed assuming there are enough quality seeders
I used newsgroups for a bit and thought they were shit – never had anything I wanted. Bit torrent all the way.
newsgroups all the way. fuck downloading from bit-torrents, you never know what you are getting and it takes a fucking age to download. i get my full download speed 24/7, fine so it might be 7 or 8 quid a month, but it’s definatly worth it.
invite on the way wet….bit torrents are great if you use forum based ones, i can request a reseed and nearly 100% of the time i’ll get several jump on and seed, you soon know the guys with the big pipes who will max out ur dl speed 😀

U torrent is great , I used azuerus for ages , but with utorrent you get all the features but it uses hardly any memory 🙂
ok, another noob question.whats the difference between the standalone and installation pack ?? Any partucular version i should select ? 🙄

p.p.s. Turks.. you are ghey if you couldnt find what you wanted, sounds to me like someones calling it shit because they didnt know what they were doing, you’ll more than likely find stuff on NG first than on torrents and Full speed ahead!

Bit Torrent is shit and News Groups rule all. n comparison.
Torrents are like torture!
Try downloading something that should take 30 mins and it takes 3 hours! gets up to speed eventually but I much prefer downloading at 2MB constantly not every now and again!
Plus the authorities cant touch news groups and they have gone encrypted now 😛 so no info available
i like the community spirit of bit torrents..especially potuk…must have dl many tb by now, and ul twice as much 😉
i like the ability to request certain things, and with potuk have never been disapointed… they have many encoder types who clean up dodgy releases or nuked work, and ppl who will go out of there way to find work arounds/fixes..i have been a member for a long long time now and have NEVER had a dl that wasnt as described….. the beauty of forum based torrents is that you get invites to other forums that do diff stuff 😉
