ParticipantThats one of my dilema’s, ive read alot about the AMD’s being gash compared to the lower clocked Intel Coreduos, but then im not after a superfast MaxHax rig so the extras with the AMD might swing it [hdd ect]. hmmmm
I just want something that will play the likes of Cod4 quite well and this years games adaquitly.

KeymasterGo and live in Greece for six months, then meet some gulible guy who’ll off load a great pc to you for 200 quid 🙂
Apart from that, build your own mate. If you could do it before you can do it now, it’s apparently easier nowadays anyway, so much so I can maybe even do it.

ParticipantCertainly i dont have to worry about IRQs and it’s easier these days in many ways…until i read the overclockers forums and find plenty of threads beging with……It wont boot??1why!one, its happened may times to me in the past and i dont have the patence to fuck about these days.
With a bulk buy of brand new components i’d rather someone else takes responibilty 🙂
(I am in the process of putting 2 other pc’s together with my old components for the better halve and a friend, but i stated from the begining….if they dont work, unlucky ) 🙂Shittylink delivered it today….a day late* but must congratulate the driver on finding us considering the Postman struggles on a regular basis. Anyhow it flies like shit off a shovel with Windows application & internet browseing, im using the on-board GFX atm so games are not worth playing yet.
New GFX card should turn up in the next couple of days.
ps, it dosn’t sound like a B52 winding up and taking off, how pleasant.
*I ordered this on friday afternoon, Overclockers predicted i’d recieve the goods on Monday the 7th, i guess Citylink don’t work the weekends, Tuesday morning was fine, im on holiday this week :twofingersmilie:
Thanks for the advice chaps
