Had some fun with my pc recently! first PSU died and had some odd things going on with it, then came back from holiday and getting bad graphical artifacts all over the screen (not just in game, but on the BIOS POST screen too)

So had to make some changes!

Bought a Cosair VX450 PSU which is dead quiet compared to my old PSU and never gets hot!
A Point of View GF8800GT 521MB PCI-E gfx card – Running all my games comfortable at 1600×1200 maxed out now! 1280×1024 previously with the Radeon X1950XTX 256MB AGP gfx.
Western Digital 500GB SATA2 HDD to replace my old 120GB IDE HDD – not sure if this turned out of be any faster or actually slower 🙁 Windows is slower loading now.
Asus P5KC i35 Motherboard – Much better make and more stable motherboard to replace the ASROCK one I had, Also has decent overclocking settings on it!
Razor Copperhead gaming mouse – the laser on my old wireless ms mouse was eating batteries and the laser packed in, so it was stuttering when moving the mouse (No Good!) This new one is fantasic mouse, never had better!
Sony DVD-RW SATA2 drive – New Motherboard only has 1x IDE socket at the bottom so cant reach the DVD drive at the top of the case! not long enough cables (only £17 though)

Kept my Core2Duo E2180 and clocked it up from 2.0ghz to 2.2ghz. hardly made any difference in the temps! may be 1 or 2 degrees lol. should try more, plenty of people running this cpu at 3ghz and over with no issues lol!

So looks very good so far, also new gfx is only single slot design rather than 2 slots. lacks a massive heatsink and cooling stuff that my radeon had.
