try to pop in now and again, but i’m afraid i am no longer paying towards the server as of this month 😥 instead im donating towards the servers im playing on, would like to do both but cant afford too.
have also removed a few XDC from my friends list (those that havent been on for ages) as it gets cluttered and i have a load of Insurgency players on it as well.
Tbh i think that most ppl havent got the time for gaming any more or they have bought a console and turned gay. I cant really see a game bringing everyone together ala 1942, as as a rule life takes over. Im a lucky one my daughters at uni and lads at college, i work 12 hr days so the wife dosent mind my gaming ‘therapy’.
I’ve sort of found a new home with The OC (old c*nts) as they are in the same mold as XDC, and the Insurgency guys are into more realistic games. I do miss the chat in ts though 😀
game developers are only interested in the console generation and it will always be eye candy over playability, Insurgency has many faults, bugs and glitches but the mod developers stay true to there vision of how the game should be played.
The next game i buy will be by Tripwire, nobody knows what its called or about, but these guys are the only game developers i have faith in.
If you try Insurgency, im the guy leading the marines with a M9 🙂
Alzir and Wolf were on last night and did pretty well considering how confusing the game can be.hope to see some of you in game. 😉

We might not have a single game we’re all playing, but the ones we do play are a actually quite similar. Insurgency strikes me as a cross between COD4 and CSS, just with a more team orientated feel to it and less lone wolfing (at least at first glance). There are a lot similarities in terms of tactics and gamplay between all 3 games and I’m sure a lot of us would enjoy it. I’ll definitely be putting in more insurgency time over the next few weeks 🙂
I’d say more COD4 (for modern warfare theme alone) and RO.. as same lurning curve, one shot one kill.. which no one liked/could play :/
I’m gonna try Left4Dead soon I reckon, looks like a good scary laugh as well as needing teamwork 🙂

Have HL2 which I need to reinstall and then download Insurgency Mod. Might fire it up and play a few rounds with you tonight…….. where you all having out these days.?
Insurgency is much easier than RO, RO was great fun, but insurgency offers a bit less invovled game play (no vehicles for starters!). We hang out on the OC servers, if someone wants a copy of HL2 I have one as a gift to give away.

Left 4 Dead is the best online game I’ve played in about 5 years. Absolutely piss funny if you can get some mates on it.
That’s on PC. I’ve not tried it on Xbox but can’t see how it good possibly work with a console controller.

p.s. I thought you had to have steam to play L4D? (I could be wrong as I know you can buy it int shops)

Yeah, you need Steam to play it, which I’m not too impressed about.
As you can see from the videos it was billed as a zombie shooter but they changed their minds and turned it into a game where 4 of you are stuck in Liverpool having missed the last train home and you have to get out of there before the scousers overpower you and take your wallet.
If you’ve got 2 or 3 mates who will buy it then it’s definitely worth getting but buy a boxed version because the exchange rate is all tits up and everything is charged in dollars on Steam.
