hey all..
punkbuster is doing my head in. keeps kicking me orff
pb log shows..
GLOBAL PunkBuster GUID BAN
wtf.. i mean.. i got those crax from max.. and he dosent get kicked? so what else can i do?
i already dl’d the files from the pb site.. but nadda.. still get kicked..
the only thing ive done is install bf on another partition, i think i installed all the updates. and i was able to play yesterday.. but today im being kicked. so wtf??
any help greatly appreciated.
This is a guess, but it may be because the same CD key (which could map to something called a GUID – can explain what one of these is, but not really relevant) is being used by more than one person logged into the game at once.
This could be because you have a pirate copy, or someone has sold on your CD key to someone else that has a pirate copy. But, as I said, this is just an educated guess and I may be talking utter bollocks.

Anyway re: punkbuster
Make sure that the XP, 2000 or Vista account you’re using has administrator rights. For some reason it won’t work with guest priviledges 😕
