BTW, just heard a story on Radio 5 that scientists have discovered the bit of the brain that causes cravings when giving up things like cigarettes. Apparently those people who have suffered damage to that area find it much much easier to give up fags.

    So there’s two conclusions:
    1. It really is mind over matter – it’s all in the brain.
    2. Get someone to kick you in the head to damage the offending part when the cravings become too bad.

Or hunt down the little fuckers who tempted you in to smoking in the first place… and whoop some ass!

If it all gets too much you can go the drug route:
    Zyban

Friend of mine in SA used this, worked a charm

    Oh wait…..

    Use with caution in:
    Elderly people
    Decreased kidney function
    Decreased liver function
    Alcohol abuse
People who have had a head injury
People taking medicines known to increase the risk of seizures (see below)
    Diabetes
    History of psychiatric illness
    High blood pressure

I’m pretty sure you don’t have high blood pressure, as for the rest….. 😉

I stopped for 2 years. After about 6 weeks the cravings stopped. I started again when i was in a pub with friends drunk one night and did the dreaded deed of having a quick drag. Then i was hooked again. 🙁
Its all will power and determination you need. Just dont do what i did when you are drunk. Never mind the weight loss is great.
