Up until now I have been using my shitty old hifi for my speakers, and then using the medusa for gaming… but one of the fucking speakers has just died, so I think its time for an upgrade.
I have a soundblaster audigy MS, which I think is 7.1… but theres no way I am going to get that many fucking speakers! infact I will probably only want 2.0 or 2.1 at the moment as im moving out of this place in 6 months, and really cant be arsed fucking about with all that shit!
Err… basically does anyone know of a good 5.1 system thats not too expensive… and can i just use it as a 2.1 until I can be arsed to fuck about with cables?

But how would they work? Would they be connected to the mains, but not the pc, or use shit loads of batteries?

Just because I am doing so well in posting in this thread (I am kicking insanes ass! – Sucker!) I thought I would answer my own question…
The rear speakers dont need to be connected to the pc, but both have seperate plug sockets to mains… so not completely wireless, but you dont have to fuck about with cables.

Aha… they have priced the 5450s as wired 5400s… so in the description is says the latter, but the title, and on the invoice it will say the more expensive 5450s… so… do I risk it?!
