Think I may tone it down a bit and go for this – as I have no need for a top GPU, and I can spend the savings on a 24inch screen… what do you ladies think for £558 inc VAT and Delivery? (Presumably the GPU will kick my current 9800 pros ass, so happy that it will play the limited PC games I have left fine)…

Not that I wish to provide financial guidance to you, BUT, you are spending savings on a PC? You are mad! Buy a bike!

Computers dead, need a new PC. Been saving a third of my income for the last 12 months, and its time to treat myself! (after rent, I have been living off £500/month and that includes food and my £130/month travel card…) I am a compulsive saver so don’t worry your little head!

I was going to get a bike on the cycle to work scheme, cycle to my mates house and he drive me in… but he has just been posted to Amersterdam, so that may be an issue… so learning to Drive… whoop!

What area do you live in and what area do you work in? It’s suprising how easy it is to cycle across London.

Looks fine Turks – false economy on the GFX I reckon – but sounds like you know what you want. Thought you needed bigger HD though? Anyway – enough procrastinating! Get something!

Live in kensington, work near heathrow… It’s only 12.5 miles, but the m4’s notgreat for cycling, and would be miserable In the rain.

May consider bigger HD and gpu… Decide tomorrow… Whoop

its illegal to cycle on motorways! Surely there are back roads/ old railway lines/ canals or something? Amazing what you find if you look!

Quite easy to cycle from Kensington. Just bomb it down into Hammersmith and go along Chiswick Highstreet, onto London Road and then branch off onto Bath or Staines Road depending on what part of Heathrow. It’s all lovely straight roads, give it a go 😀 I do Ealing to Hyde Park along the Uxbridge Road most days around 6am and it’s liberating. But I’m a bike geek 😉

Bought the PC – ended up splashing out a bit!!

Went for the 1.5tb hd as it was only £20 more than the 1tb

and went for the 5890 or whatever, as I wanted to treat myself! Whoop!

    Cheers for the help chaps!
