it’s a shame really because I was really looking forward to this game but it’s getting to the point where I don’t really give a toss about it now.

LOL When EA release a game on schedule with ‘waived’ bugs and others that can usually only come out when half the world is testing it these boards are alight with “F**K EA, BUGGY SHITE”.
So now they delay Spore for a few months for maybe a design shift or even gameplay improvements and still people aren’t happy.

    So which would you rather?

Games should be finished and released when they are ready and not before. TF2 was on the boiler for 9 years but a more polished product I’ve yet to see.

    grumblegrumble…..

yea ok September is closer to Christmas so it’s probably a cha-ching marketing decision….bleh 🙁

as long as the games patched. its all good.

Lets just hope, that now they have delayed it, that when it comes out, it still isnt buggy.

Agree with JM.. quit your moaning! 😛

I’d rather it be delayed and mint, than out and toss.. hmm thinking on, they delayed Turok and I thought that was pile o toss! Lets hope GTAIV isnt as shit with its delay

What I don’t understand is why they keep giving dates – if they’re not sure, then don’t give it a release date. Up until yesterday my Amazon preorder was showing a release date of 30th March and I was quite excited. Why not just say coming soon or some such shite rather than giving actual dates and god forbid actually creating quite a few conversations between my teenage son and I which may well have to be repeated later this year!

the dates were most likely genuine dates that they were aiming for.

some exec probably looked at the game and laughed and said there is no way its getting released in 6 weeks time.

also bear in mind that if they set a release date the game has to be completed 1 month before that date so that the game can be certified, mastered, and shipped out to shops in time for a release date. so as a result they would have to have spore finished in 2 weeks time.

the balance between costs of missing a release date and game quality are a never ending compromise. the cost of launching a game like spore is in the tens of millions of dollars in marketting, ad space, product placement etc alone, and cancelling a game launch much closer than 6 weeks results in all that money being lost.

that probably wont asuage anyones anguish over this but hey, thought you should all know 🙂

It’s gash,I’m so disappointed. I thought I’d really have to tear myself away from this to get on with my writing, but no worries, I was glad to turn it off. It’s boring, I think even a 7 year old would find it tedious after half an hour, and that’s on the difficult level ffs. I looked forward to this game for years, had it on pre-order since this time last year and it’s shite on a big long stick. I’m pissed off. I want my money back. Sims 3 better be ace:(

Its getting rave reviews… which is odd… it litterally is repetitive shit! I managed to push myself to the civ stage and so far, its just a load of game types put together… badly… glad I didnt pay for it!

I paid for it….gutted, really gutted. Not only did I pay for it, but so did my son. He says he loves it, though I feel he is saying this cos he has blethered on about it for so long that loads of his mates have bought it on the strength of his witterings. Bloody hell it’s true shite. How the hell did this take so fecking long to develop? I really think I’ll be back to playing the Sims in no time. I hate the whole desinging aspect of games, in the Sims I use the pre made buidlings and people, and there’s so much designing and building in this game. And where the feck is the online gameplay aspect? I want to go and kill my son’s creature, annihilate it and all his spotty friends creations, but can’t work out how to do it?

WILL WRIGHT, YOU FECK, WHERE IS THE GAME YOU PROMISED ME AND WHY HAVE I GOT THIS SHITE INSTEAD?

And then he has the aucity to incude a promotional flyer for the Sims 3 and says it will be released in 2009? Yeah right. Gah. I hate EA. Bollox.
