frickin game… its probably the most atmospheric fps ever… much better than fear… but my god is it shoddily play tested!
I just came to the choice of helping the duty or freedom factions before progressing. I threw my lot in with freedom – not realising how much this would fuck up the game.
In order to progress YOU HAVE TO go through the duty camp… and every1 of them decided to shoot at me.
Playing it on hard level and taking on 50 machine gun toting duty fighters is not my idea of fun.
Now I have read some forums and found there is a way to stay neutral to all factions… u accept the original kill the sniper mission, then tell freedom about the proposed attack…. but dont take part in the killing.
Hope this is helpful to some peeps.

Games are usually over REALLY fast nowadays.. and i think Im a good enough player to be able to take on a harder difficulty level. The AI in Stalker is pretty good so combat can be quite tactical at hard level… the very fact that I CAN destroy the 50 duty soldiers tells you that playing it in easier modes wouldnt make much sense.
Now I am in the secret lab conplex… scary shit! i love it.
