Have to say I was on the server with about 4 people..
Boring patch.. for me anyhoos.. although it seemed a hell of a lot smoother but then it has always been for me 😀
good if your a commander who likes dropping vehicles or a noob toober!
Mmmm. Not convinced. After ample deaths at the hands of one of the medic guns, it got tiresome. Single shot to the heard from blokes diving/jumping was frequent enough for me to think they have stuck Max’s bot on the farking thing.
Could not kill anyone with the vehicle drop. The commander’s screen seems to be all jaggy and the res looks wierd.
Not being able to spawn on a new squad prevents a team recovering from a losing position and thus the game going on a bit longer.
aside from that, no change.
I reckon this patch was just there to prepare the game for the new add-on.
As for all the medals suddenly appearing, it made it feel cheap. After striving hard and being so close to earning them the honest way, I felt robbed on suddenly being awarded several gongs.
Medals? I aint been ranked for months.. oo acctually I wasnt in a propper game as still waiting for slackers to D/L patch 😀
so mine may come 🙂

Did you check your fx settings?
The patch put all mine back tp default. 800×600 etc.
Dint change any of my settings.. I was wuite surprised at that.. it did the optimal shaders bollox though
yeah the squad changing when your dead thing is a bit gay, I would hardly call it an exploit and means that if a team is dominating they have it even easier now!

and they broke all server browsers and so on bar their own and Gayspys lol
but it’s harder to dominate a map the way we gone done over on Kubra dam during the match a few weeks ago. I’m all for it.

I don’t see this as an issue for us at all. I’ve hardly ever seen anyone squad jump on the xdc server – only ever in clan matches. I’m glad its been stopped – it was just another one of those annoying features that were exploited by the anally fixated geeky wankers that make up competitive BF2 clans. Feck em and their now useless tactics. 👿
What i did notice which wasn’t so good was the dreaded red spawnpoint – where you couldnt spawn – happening alot more.

Big fan of the new squad rule :D, when I first heard of it I hadn’t realised just how much it’s used elsewhere having been spoilt by our server, but now think it’s great squad jumping can’t be used anymore…..although air maps will now be harder for us.
Anyway my favourite change, and probably the only time I’ve ever had a fav change (having built it up it’s actually quite a small thing) but the suspension on those abrams tanks has at last been fixed!! No more speed bumps knocking health off my tanks….damn chav mechanics should never have been let near them in the first place.
